What a GPS lock does

Cargo goes missing between the yard and the delivery. This closes that gap.

A GPS lock is a padlock and a tracker in one body. It seals the door, reports where the load is, and pings your phone the moment the seal is broken.

Most cargo loss in Nigeria does not happen at gunpoint. It happens quietly, at a stop nobody logged, with a door that opened for ten minutes and closed again before the truck reached the depot. A plain padlock keeps its mouth shut about all of that. The smart one talks.

Three things the unit gives you that a padlock and a separate tracker never will together.

Locks and reports together

The seal and the location live in one device, so you see who holds the load and where it sits without cross-checking two systems.

Tamper and cut alerts

Force the shackle, cut the cable, or open the door off-route and the lock fires an alert to your phone that second, with the spot marked on the map.

Remote control from the app

Send the unlock from your phone when the load reaches the right hands, so no physical key rides in the cab for someone to lift.

Who fits a GPS lock

Who seals a load this way.

Haulage operators

Trucks running goods between cities, where the risk sits at every unplanned stop on the road.

Container importers

Boxes moving from the port to the warehouse, sealed the whole way and watched door to door.

Depots and yards

Owners who want the gate and the store locked with a record of every open, not a guard's word.

Cold-chain and pharma

High-value loads where a single unlogged open is a whole batch you cannot ship.

Fleet managers

Teams already tracking vehicles who want the cargo held to the same standard as the truck.

How it works

From WhatsApp message to a sealed, tracked load.

Tell us the load

Message us what you move, how many units, and your route on WhatsApp. We tell you the right lock and the price. No call-centre runaround.

We set it up

The lock arrives ready on a registered SIM, paired to your app, with your route and the people who can unlock it already loaded.

Seal and send

Lock the door before the truck rolls. From there you watch the live route and every stop from your phone.

Unlock at the right hands

Send the unlock from the app when the load lands. If anything opens or gets cut before then, you already have the alert and the spot.

What's included

Everything in the setup.

One device, one app, and a lock that does its job from the first trip.

GPS smart lock

A hardened lock for container doors, truck doors, gates and cargo, built to take the road.

Live route and stops

Follow the load the same way you follow a tracked vehicle, with every stop on the timeline.

Tamper and cut alerts

An unauthorised open, a forced shackle or a cut cable messages your phone at once, with the location.

Geofence the route

Draw the corridor the load should stay in. Step outside it and you hear about it.

Remote unlock

Open the lock from the app when the load reaches the right person. No key on the road.

Long battery and low-charge warning

A charge covers the long haul, and the app warns you well before it runs down.

Why not a plain padlock

A padlock keeps the door shut. It cannot tell you when it opened.

A plain padlock
An Otrac GPS lock
Opens silently. You find out the box was tampered when you break the seal at the warehouse.
Messages your phone the instant it opens off-route, with the exact spot.
No idea where the load is. You call the driver and take his word for it.
Live location and every stop on your phone, the same as a fitted tracker.
A key rides in the cab. Whoever holds it can open the load anywhere.
You send the unlock from the app, so no key travels for anyone to lift.
Cut through the shackle and nothing happens. Nobody knows until the delivery is short.
A cut cable or a forced shackle fires an alert while it is happening.
No record. When something goes wrong, it is one person's account against another's.
Every open, stop and route sits in a log you can pull up later.
Buy it, hang it, and hope. No one to call.
Set up by a team that fits telematics daily, with one number on WhatsApp.

Same door, sealed either way. The difference shows up on the day a load walks.

Why Otrac

We lock cargo the way we track vehicles. To hold up on Nigerian roads.

Otrac has worked on Nigerian vehicles and fleets since 2017. We know the routes where loads go missing and the stops nobody logs, and we build the setup around that, not around a spec sheet from somewhere else.

The lock runs on the same platform as our trackers, on an NCC-registered SIM that stays live. One app for the truck and the load, one team, one number to call when a shipment matters.

FAQ

GPS locks, answered.

Where does a GPS lock fit?
Container doors, truck rear doors, yard and depot gates, and any cargo you seal for the road. If it takes a padlock or a bolt, it can take a GPS lock.
Can I open it from my phone?
Yes. You send the unlock from the app, so the right person at the depot opens the load without a physical key changing hands on the road.
What happens if someone tries to force it?
An open you did not authorise, a cut cable, or the lock leaving its route all fire an alert to your phone straight away, with the location attached.
How long does the battery last?
A charge covers a long-haul trip and then some. The app warns you before it runs low, so a flat battery never catches you by surprise.
Do I still see the route, like a normal tracker?
You do. The lock reports live location and stops the same way a tracker does, so you follow the load and hold the key to it on one screen.

Tell us what you move. We will quote it and set it up this week.

Send what you carry, how many units and your route on WhatsApp, and we will sort the rest.
